Book Review: The Other Boleyn Girl

In the end I found myself bored with this book. The subject matter is certainly intriguing, but the writing is dull and sometimes strictly narrative. In fact, I ended up skimming most of the second half of the book. Sometimes historical fiction books drone on and on and end up being 200-300 pages too long. I did enjoy reading about the fashion and practices of the time period and how terrible it was to be a woman back then, but it just didn’t capture my attention enough to read the whole, incredibly long story.
