Review: The Girl Who Chased the Moon

Deep sigh. Sarah Addison Allen is my new favorite author. Her books are replete with tantalizing magic realism and feel-good stories. Her writing is so rich, so descriptive and so fresh. Many of her sentences bring a smile to my face.
“The Girl Who Chased the Moon” is the story of a small town in North Carolina populated with secrets, lovable misfits and Southern barbeque. Magic abounds in the form of cakes, changing wallpaper, ghosts and gentle giants.
Content note: There is one slightly descriptive, but tasteful sex scene.
