This morning I visited a comic book store for the very first time. It’s hard to believe I’ve never been in one before since I try to go in any bookstore I see. I went to talk with David Landa, owner of Dr. Volts, for an upcoming Book Matters column. Over the last couple weeks I’ve been schooled in all things comic and it’s been fascinating. There is so much to the world of graphic novels that many readers just don’t know.
I picked up a fun Muppets comic for my kids and the quirky and stunning, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The Marvelous Land of Oz by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young for myself (but my 5 year old daughter loves looking at them as well.)
