Review: Return to Exile by E. J. Patten

Return to Exile by E.J. Patten

From the aftermath of an epic battle Phineas T. Pimiscule rescued his infant nephew, Sky, and then risked everything to protect him and his family for the past eleven years. Sky knows nothing of this night and instead believes all the secret lore of the Hunters of Legend to be just the make believe stories of his eccentric uncle.

But when his family moves back to the town of Exile and Sky finds himself face to face with real-life versions of the monsters from his childhood books, everything changes. With Uncle Phineas missing, Sky must face the mysterious secrets of the past and discover who he really is.

Yay! Another great book series for boys. Utah author E.J. Patten’s story is fresh, intelligent and exciting. The first book in the Hunter Chornicles series, while a little long for a middle grade novel (ages 9-14), is fast-paced, well written and hard to put down. Each page is replete with action, adventure and humor. Young boys and teens (and even Dad) will enjoy this new book.

Don’t miss this new, super-cool series!
