A week long celebration of children’s literature starts today! This national event, known as Children’s Book Week, is the longest running literarture initiative in the country. Since 1919, lovers of children’s literature have used this week to celebrate with author and illustrator appearances, fun events, reading challenges, art work and much more. Provo City Library: Children’s Book Festival, May 12, various times and events. Judy Schachner, author of the SkippyJon Jones series is the feature author and there will be several other authors, illustrators and activities. Visit the library’s website for all the info and schedule of events.
Check your local library and bookstore for more fun kid events. If you know of any more Utah events, leave me a comment with the info and I will add it to the list.
